The first EU Peers Summit: The European Community for Integrated Home Renovation Services, held on 11th June 2024 in Brussels. The event was attended by thousands of organisations supporting One-Stop-Shops (OSS), Integrated Home Renovation Service (IHRS) providers and their activities, public authorities, energy agencies, suppliers, homeowner associations, energy auditors, architects, NGOs, financial institutions and others. All these actors gathered in a new European Community of Practice, named EU Peers, with the objective to strengthen and upscale the Integrated Home Renovation Services movement in Europe.
The Summit was attended by Alex Hamilton, our Senior Engineer and Chair of Association Irish Energy Agencies. Stefan Moser, EU Commission, outlined the inclusion of OSS in the new Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.
The EU PEERS Project is co-funded by the LIFE Programme of the European Union. The project though launched on 1st September 2023 will run till 31st August 2026; a duration of 36 months. With Ireland being a focus in addition to other countries, Italy, France, Spain, Latvia, Hungary, there is finally a charted course for One-Stop Shops in Ireland, free of charge as a member of this community.
