Why Attend?
This seminar is designed to empower Local Authority climate action leadership and build capacity within the sector to enhance sustainability efforts – both for direct Local Authority obligations and targets and how we can all support and drive the energy transition across the four counties.
South East Energy Agency experts will outline the challenges posed by climate change, the role and actions being taken by the local government and opportunities for Local Authority staff members. The seminar will outline the Local Authorities obligations and strategy to meet the 2030 targets. The event will provide funding information and up to date list of supports available to all SME’s, community groups and home owners with exemplar case studies from the South East region to help spread the word throughout your constituencies.
Additionally, the event will feature a number of interactive sessions, providing an opportunity to share your input and contribute to shaping SEEA supports across the region.
Aims of the Seminar:
Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Waterford Local Authorities are working together to become the leading sustainable region in Ireland. In this event, the South East Energy Agency delivery team will outline the regional strategy to act as the trusted intermediary across the region and to partner with local service providers to deliver best practice energy and carbon savings projects over the next decade.
The South East Energy Agency team look forward to seeing a further strengthening of the collaborative mindset that has grown in the South-East and in each region, bringing together Local Authorities, wider communities, and others, to work towards a better and brighter future for their region.
